Political campaigns and Super PACs are legally barred from privately coordinating their spending, but they have developed a disputed practice known as “redboxing”: posting campaign messages, priorities, and strategic guidance on public websites where outside groups can see and use them. Redboxing is not automatically unlawful, but critics argue that it can blur the line between independence and coordination.
